| 2011 Attica Memorial This year marked the 40th year since the tragedy at New York's Attica Correctional Facility. Once again the Waymart Chapter of Pride MC was proud to attend the Memorial Services. Many changes have taken place since we first attended in 2002, but there is a way to go. As always we left Attica with a sence of family and friendship. Corrections Employees, especially those at Attica have a strong bond that they welcome others to join. It is always difficult to leave and head on our seperate ways after meeting those who survived and honoring those who did not. The services are truly spectacular. If you have never attended you should make plans to. The date is Sept 13th. Below is a link to the Forgotten Victims of Attica and to some of the photos we took while there. Also, as special thanks to the Correctional Peace Officers Foundation. If your not a member you need to check them out at www.cpof.org. The Forgotten Victims of Attica Attica 2011 Photos |
